Tenant Isolation via Workspaces
Zipteam is a cloud-based multi-tenant(workspace) platform. Users can belong to multiple workspaces.
Each Workspace includes:
- Tenant users (Users who are members of the workspace): Invited via email, with roles such as Admin, Manager, or Member.
- Roles: Define permissions for accessing data and managing features within the Workspace.
- Skills Data: Each user maintains a personalized skills graph composed of domains and associated actions.
Each Workspace operates as an isolated tenant, ensuring that data and configurations specific to that organization are kept separate.
NOTE: Certain parts of the Account Profile—such as a photo, headline, location, and time zone—are global and not restricted to a single Workspace. This information is visible across all Workspaces the user belongs to.
Key Concepts
Zipteam is a skill management platform designed to address three fundamental challenges:
- What skills exist within the organization?
- How can skills be evaluated objectively, free from bias and inconsistencies?
- How can teams be assembled with the verified ability to execute projects based on their skills?
Zipteam is designed for organizations that aim to build strong, balanced, and skill-based teams—focusing on actual capabilities rather than job titles or resumes. It serves team leaders, HR professionals, project managers, and individual contributors.
