Setting up Single Sign-On (SSO)
We support Single Sign-On (SSO) integration for enterprise users through WorkOS, allowing your team to access Zipteam securely and efficiently using your organization’s identity provider (IdP).
This feature needs an active Enterprise License.
Why Use SAML SSO with Zipteam?
Implementing SAML-based SSO improves security, simplifies onboarding, and supports centralized access control by your end.
- Users log in via your organization’s IdP using SAML
- No need to manage Zipteam-specific passwords
- Access is secured and centrally managed through your identity provider
Zipteam uses WorkOS to enable seamless integration with IdPs.
Setup process
Step 1: Submit Request via Zipteam App
To start the SSO setup process:
- Go to Help > Contact Support (top-right corner of the Zipteam app)
- Send a request email with the following information*:
- Company Name
- Admin’s Name
- Admin’s Email Address
- Workspace Name
- Workspace ID
- These details are just used to verify the request is authorized. They do not initiate the configuration itself.
How to find your Workspace ID: Click your profile icon (top-right corner) → Settings > WORKSPACE > Workspace Settings. The Workspace ID will be listed there.
Step 2: Zipteam Support Will Reach Out
Our support team will reach out to the provided admin to coordinate next steps and provide access to a secure file-sharing system.
Step 3: Submit Your Email Domains
Upload a list of email domains (e.g., @company.com
) to be used for SSO login.
- Submit this list via our file-sharing system in Step 2
- These domains will determine which users are eligible to log in via SSO
Step 4: Configure Your Identity Provider
Once our support team have registered provided domains, we will send your admin a magic link that leads to step-by-step setup page for configuring Zipteam as a SAML application.
Important: Please ensure that emails from
@workos-mail.com
are not filtered into your spam inbox. This domain is used to send your magic link and configuration instructions.
Finalization
Once setup is confirmed:
- SSO will be activated for your users
- Anyone with a verified domain will be redirected to your IdP for login
